I am an accessories kind of girl. No matter what the outfit is, the accessories give a look personality. Over the next week I hope to discuss my 7 favorite categories of accessories, all of which add a certain playfulness and/or class to an ensemble: shoes, scarves, watches, belts, eye wear, jewelry, and headbands.
I think any good outfit is made great with a great pair of shoes. In the animal kingdom of preppy footwear, the boat shoe reigns supreme. Don't get me wrong, I am an ardent lover of Jack Rogers, Rainbows, riding boots, Hunter Wellies, LL Bean boots, and every kind of pump imaginable. I just plan on starting with the mother of all preppy shoes: the Sperry Topsider.
Whether in tan leather, pastel canvas, or metallic leather, the Sperry will never lead you astray. Never. Ever. Ever. Wear with socks. No one cares how bad your Sperry's smell because they look that good.
